A Charcuterie of Best Thoughts

Charcuterie boards have been around since the 15th Century, but the culinary art has experienced a resurgence in popularity of late. Who doesn’t love hanging out with your besties over a platter of delicious bite-sized portions of cured meats, cheeses, veggies, fruits, and breads?

Charcuterie is as much an experience as it is a meal. It is meant to be savored at a casual pace with others. And that is the intent of this edition of our newsletter.

Each Monday we publish a “thought for the week”, a bite-sized piece of content intended to help you improve your B2B marketing and sales operations. It is the most read content we publish. We offer sales follow-up tips, best ways to understand your prospects, advice on how to develop content ideas, or often, simply ways to think about marketing and sales in a fresh new way.

I encourage you to get together with some work colleagues, unpack this selection of “thoughts for the week”, and discuss ways in which you can apply the Follow Your Buyer methodology with your team and achieve extraordinary results.

Perhaps do it over lunch with a real charcuterie board!

Walk A Mile In Their Shoes!

Walk a mile in their shoes ia a saying that encourages us to spend time understanding another person’s perspective before making a judgment about them. It offers B2B marketing and sales a valuable lesson.

How Do You Answer The Big Why Question?

While he was being interviewed once, legendary interviewer Larry King was asked about his approach to questions. His response was that he sought the “why” that drove people to do what they do. “Why“ is a powerful question because it leads to deeper understanding.

Permission To Move About The Market Using Your Outside Voice!

Too often as B2B marketers we use our inside voices when trying to engage our target audiences. We speak about ourselves using language that is meaningful to us, but not an external group.

B2B Is Cool After All

It turns out that B2B marketing is cool after all!
